Fall Classes
Drop In On Art is moving to Saturday!

Classes start Saturday September 30!
Saturdays 10am to 12noon
Saturdays 1:30 to 3:30pm

Ages 7-12

Our extremely popular after school classes are moving to Saturdays, just for this fall.

With the same classroom format and same great activities, the gallery has the chance to continue with Shirley Hart and her team of enthusiastic young assistants!

Drop In On Art uses drawing, painting, modelling clay, and a variety of crafts and learning activities suitable for artistic young minds at all levels of accomplishment. The emphasis is on creative self-expression and enjoyment while learning and exploring.

Please note we've adjusted the age range to 7-12 to ensure that children have some formal classroom experience before coming into the program. Six year olds may be considered depending on their experience.

The fee is $1 per class, including all art supplies and a healthy snack, thanks to generous investment in the community by the Painted Hand Community Development Corporation, Harvard Broadcasting and SaskLotteries.

Call the gallery at 306.786.2992 to register

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, if you like the idea of spending an enjoyable evening learning new painting techniques in a friendly environment, these classes are for you.

If you have art materials, please bring them to the first class. If you're a beginner or don't have art supplies, we'll provide what you need for the first class and give you a list of basic materials, most of which can often be purchased at Walmart or other local outlets.

2017 Photography Workshop Series
Digital Camera Basics - classes are now complete

Explore and understand camera fundamentals, composition, and diverse approaches to making striking images shooting still life, architecture, portraits and people.

The classes are based on DSLR or mirrorless cameras and often welcome guest photographers such as Kristopher Grunert and Barbara Rindisbacher. Many opportunities for hands-on experience including working with still life set ups and live subjects in a variety of lighting situations. Bring your questions and we'll help you find the answers.

Every week our goal is to have you start taking pictures within the first 30 minutes of the class.

When you register we'd like to find out what camera you use and what kind of photographs you like to take. This will help us be prepared. To make sure you can find the settings you need on your camera, everyone is asked to either bring their manuals or be able to access them online using the free internet at the gallery.
